Workwear & T-shirt screen Printing
Free setup on all decorations and logos.
Metro Workwear offers screen printing and digital printing to customise t-shirts, polos, hoodies and other workwear with decorative designs, company logos, brand names, patterns or pictures. Whether you need branded uniforms for a team, promotional tees for an event or retail stock, we print in bulk and deliver Australia-wide, including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Hobart.
Who our printing is for
Printed apparel is useful across many industries:
- Corporate and office teams – add your company logo or brand name to shirts and polos so staff are easy to identify. This works well for sales and marketing teams who meet new clients every day.
- Trades and industrial workers – logo prints on work shirts, hi-vis polos and singlets show which business your crew belongs to.
- Hospitality and healthcare – we can print chefs' aprons and nursing scrubs.
- Events, clubs and retail – print event or retail t-shirts, promotional polos and casual wear, from bold designs to subtle prints for a more elegant look.
Branding your uniforms helps advertise your business wherever your staff go, builds team spirit and a consistent, professional look, and makes it easier for customers to recognise your people. You can also add names, numbers or department names to tell team members apart in larger organisations.

High-quality prints with a smooth texture
Our screen printing gives you high-quality prints with versatile patterns every time. We use quality emulsions and the best water-based and plastisol inks to deliver hard-wearing performance, along with up-to-date printing techniques to give your apparel a customised look. Quality control and our in-house processes keep the job straightforward for you: send us your artwork and we'll do the rest.
How it works
- Choose your garments. Pick the styles, colours and sizes you need from our range, or ask us for a recommendation.
- Send your artwork. Email your logo or design as a vector file in .ai, .cdr or .pdf format. Please double-check you've sent the right file before we start.
- Get a quote. Screen printing pricing depends on the number of colours in your design and the number of garments, so contact us for a quote on your order.
- Approve your artwork. We'll confirm the design and placement with you before anything is printed.
- Printing and delivery. Once your artwork is approved, printing and embroidery projects take a maximum of two to three weeks, and we deliver Australia-wide.
Setup and pricing
Setup is free on all decorations and logos. The price of screen printing varies with the number of colours used and the number of garments ordered. Because every job is different, the best way to get an accurate price is to contact us for a quote with your design, garment choice and quantities.
Digital (direct-to-garment) printing
As well as traditional screen printing, we offer digital t-shirt and hoodie printing, also known as direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. Instead of pushing ink through a screen, a digital printer applies your design directly onto the garment.
Digital printing is well suited to:
- Detailed, full-colour designs – photos, intricate images, gradients and logos with many colours can be reproduced with crisp colour and fine detail.
- Smaller runs – because there are no screens to prepare for each colour, it's a practical way to make anything from a single garment to a larger batch.
- Varied designs – it's easy to adjust a design for different colours or sizes.
Screen printing or digital printing: which should you choose?
As a general guide:
- Choose screen printing for logos and designs with a limited number of solid colours, for larger bulk runs of uniforms, and when you want a hard-wearing print that stands up to repeated washing and work conditions.
- Choose digital printing for photographic or highly detailed artwork, designs with many colours, and smaller quantities where screen setup per colour wouldn't make sense.
Not sure which method suits your job? Send us your artwork and quantities and we'll recommend the best option.
Printing or embroidery?
Printing is a great choice for t-shirts, hi-vis garments and large designs. For a more classic, premium finish on polos, shirts, jackets and caps, take a look at our workwear and uniforms embroidery service. Many businesses use both – for example, embroidered polos for front-of-house staff and printed tees for events.
